Sponsorship and advertising

We take money from sponsors. Here is exactly what that buys, and — more importantly — what it does not.

What sponsorship cannot buy

  • A place in florist search results. Sponsors are not florists and never appear when you search for a shop.
  • A higher position for any florist. Search order is distance, and money does not enter into it.
  • The Verified Local Florist badge, or a faster route to it.
  • Anything to do with reviews — not their order, not their visibility, not their removal.
  • Customer data. We do not sell or hand over customer or recipient details.

What sponsorship does buy

A listing in our sponsor directory and a profile page of their own, where florists and flower buyers can find services aimed at the trade. That is the whole offer.

How you can tell

Sponsored content lives in its own directory, under its own heading, separated from anything to do with finding a florist. Links out to a sponsor are marked as sponsored in the page code, which is the standard signal search engines expect and a claim we can be held to.

If you ever find sponsored content that is not clearly marked, or a sponsor presented as though it were an editorial recommendation, that is a mistake on our part and we want to hear about it.

Why we are strict about this

The entire point of this network is that when you search for a local florist, the shops you see are the shops that can actually serve you. The moment a paid placement can outrank a real neighbourhood shop, that promise is worthless — and so is the network. Keeping sponsorship walled off is not a courtesy; it is the product.
