Flowers for wedding venues
Why wedding venues rely on local florists
Venues that recommend florists and host on-site installations.
Typical needs: Ceremony installations, reception centerpieces, entry arrangements

What a venue needs from a florist that a couple does not
A venue and a couple are buying different things from the same florist. The couple is buying a look. The venue is buying a install that arrives in the access window, does not damage the fabric of the building, and is cleared before the next booking. Most friction between venues and florists is about the second list.
How the ordering process works
- Save the venue, and each ceremony and reception space within it, as delivery locations with the access and parking notes.
- Raise a quote request per event with the date, the install window, the breakdown time, and the spaces being dressed.
- Settle rigging, fixings, candle and naked-flame rules, and what happens to the flowers afterwards in the quote thread, before accepting.
- Accept one response so both sides are working from the same written brief.
- Keep any standing venue florals — an entrance arrangement, a permanent display — as a separate recurring order.
What matters operationally
- The install window is the whole negotiation
- A florist needs to know when it can get in, how long it has, and what is happening in the room before and after. Put the window in the quote request rather than discovering it on the day.
- Fixings and naked flames are venue rules, not florist rules
- What may be attached to a wall, hung from a beam, or lit is your policy. State it in the request. A florist quoting without it may quote for something you cannot allow.
- Breakdown is part of the job or it is not
- Who clears the installation, and by when, changes the price. Agree it in the thread so it is not resolved at midnight by whoever is still on site.
- Seasonal availability moves under a long lead time
- Weddings are booked far enough ahead that specific stems cannot be guaranteed. Equal-or-greater-value substitution is enforced, and any change to colour, container or material needs approval from whoever holds the account.
- Preferred-florist lists work either way
- You can save florists you already work with, and couples searching for the area see shops ordered by distance alone. No shop pays for placement on that list.
What this does not do
- The platform does not hold deposits, issue contracts, or arbitrate an event brief between a venue, a couple and a florist.
- A quote request is not a booking. Nothing is committed until a florist responds and the response is accepted.
- Event work sits outside the standing-order schedules, which only run weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
- Insurance, method statements and venue accreditation are between the venue and the florist. The platform does not verify them.
Common questions
How does a wedding venue find florists that already work with venues?
Search by city or ZIP. Results are ordered by distance from the address alone, and you can save the shops you work with to your account so they are one click away next time.
Can a venue request a quote for a specific event date?
Yes. A quote request carries the date, the spaces, the budget and the brief, and can go to one florist or stay open to any florist serving the area.
Who is responsible for installing and clearing wedding flowers?
Whatever the venue and florist agree in the quote thread. The platform records the agreement but is not a party to it, so put install and breakdown in the request.
What happens if a specific flower is out of season on the wedding date?
The florist may swap a minor stem within the same look without asking. A change to colour, container or material needs approval, and the replacement must be of equal or greater value.
The rules your account runs on
- Substitutions
- A minor stem swap within the same look is pre-authorised. A change of colour, container or material needs your approval through a link valid for 48 hours, and the replacement must be of equal or greater value.
- Reporting a problem
- You can report a problem with a delivered order for 7 days after delivery. Duplicate charges and suspected fraud are exempt from that window.
- What the platform takes
- Nothing is added to your order. The price, delivery fee and tax are the florist's own.
- Standing order schedules
- Recurring deliveries run weekly, biweekly, monthly. They can be paused and resumed.
- How results are ordered
- Florist search results are ordered by distance from the delivery address alone. No shop pays for placement.
